Welcome to "Meeuw"

Apartment "Meeuw" is suitable for two persons and is the perfect base for exploring the island. It is located in a quiet yet central area of the old village, just a three-minute walk from charming terraces and the supermarket. Within seven minutes by bike, you can reach the beach. You can rent bikes down the street, and the bus to and from the ferry stops about 40 meters from your front door. It couldn't be easier!

"Meeuw" is modernly furnished and consists of a bright living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, and a large bathroom with a spacious shower. It has its own entrance, a terrace with seating on the street side, and a sunny backyard. The garden features a cozy seating area and a dining table. There also is a covered outdoor storage area for your bikes. The garden is wonderfully secluded and private. Here, you can relax in the sun, enjoy the peace, and listen to the cheerful chirping of the sparrows after a day of walking.

A vacation on Schiermonnikoog is something you should experience at least once in your life. It is truly a unique destination for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. So come enjoy the fresh air on the widest (and most beautiful ;) beach in Europe, and then unwind in our cozy, comfortable apartment!

Additional Information:

Upon arrival, a linen package will be ready for you, consisting of bed linens, kitchen towels, and two towels per person. For longer stays, you can order an extra package.

Of course, the apartment has free Wi-Fi. You can also easily watch Netflix on the television via your own subscription. For rainy days, there is a cabinet filled with books and games. And if you haven't finished a book by the time you leave, feel free to take it with you. They are there for you!

Dogs (max 2) are very welcome at apartment "Meeuw." You pay a one-time fee of 35 euros per dog. However, please note that while the garden is very private and secluded, it is not completely fenced.

Check-in is between 15.00 and 20:00, and check-out is before 10:00.

Fun to Know:

Our apartment is located on Middenstreek, one of the oldest streets in the village, lined with many authentic island houses, including the oldest house, “Marten,” built in 1721.

The current, characteristic layout of the village was established around 1720 with the construction of Middenstreek and Voorstreek. These two oldest streets run parallel from west to east and were intentionally planned to minimize the impact of the wind. Later, Langestreek was also built in this orientation.

The striking, asymmetrical shape of the roofs of the old island houses was designed with the strong winds in mind.
